About Tuakiri
Tuakiri means identity in Te Reo Māori.
For us, it reflects a connection to people, place, and the responsibility that comes with shaping land and communities with care and long-term thinking.Founded on Auckland’s North Shore in 2020, Tuakiri began the journey in residential development, delivering architecturally considered homes with a strong focus on quality, detail, and liveability. Under the leadership of founder Ryan Matthews, the business has evolved into a larger more considered development company. With a strong focus on both Land & Residential development.
We shape large parcels of land delivering sections for house builders & develop multi-unit townhouse developments and premium homes across Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Today, Tuakiri combines practical development expertise, strong relationships, attention to detail and a disciplined approach to delivery, shaping land, homes, and communities with identity at their core.
Tuakiri has evolved through experience.
What began through residential development has grown into a business focused on land development as the lead discipline supported by a proven capability in delivering townhouses and premium homes.
This is a more focused, more deliberate version of the company, built on clarity, not expansion for the sake of it.
